Purpose

To oversee and support all the Data Centres by ensuring that the engineering of facilities, plants (electrical and mechanical) are robust (Tier 3 / 4) configurations. Ensures that the engineering approach is aligned with the IT demand and that the PUE, as set out by the Data Centre Architect, is achieved. Ensures that all engineering approaches are implemented with data centre greening initiatives in line with group strategy.

Experience and qualifications

Minimum Qualification – Electrical / Mechanical qualification with at least N6/T3/S4 or equivalent
Preferred Qualification – Certified Data Centre Specialist certification from Exin International or equivalent
Experience – 3-4 years’ relevant experience
Exposure to specialized power supplies, HVAC systems, MV and LV reticulation and support services as used in large buildings and mission-critical data centre facilities
Able to submit proven experience of dealing with people and technical contracts
Knowledge of Building Management Systems
