Job Description:

Specific Role Responsibilities
User training

Training on the Hyperion application
Training on packs to be completed for submission
Provide general assistance to users.
Maintenance of user manuals
Defining and optimising Hyperion processes so businesses can meet the set deadlines.
System maintenance

User administration, including user onboarding, termination and amending access levels.
Usage and activity – log file analysis and identification of trends, identify projects to optimise platform usage, reduce risk/ key-man dependency – proactive maintenance.
Metadata and rule maintenance.
Maintenance, updates, patch-loading and testing of Hyperion versions.
Maintenance of OLAs and SLAs with service providers.
Updating pack and system with new IFRS requirements, including the rules, data forms and reports on the application.
Initiation of the annual DRP test and maintenance of the DRP plan.
The updating and maintenance of the Development environment.
Monthly reporting

Communication of timelines and additional information users.
Engagement with application vendor to review statistics, maintenance and upcoming system projects (upgrades, patch-loading, maintenance).
Maintenance of company ownerships.
Loading system exchange rates.
Running consolidations, translations and clearing basic validations. Including assistance with queries on system entries.
Other

Involved in system audits internally (at least bi-annually) and externally (annually).
Ongoing application upskilling and remaining aligned with industry best practices.
Liaising with internal and external service providers.
The future role would include

Optimisation of the current application (data, rules, metadata, reports etc.).
Development interface between various ERPs and Hyperion(FDMee).
Development of budget and planning tools.
Qualifications and Experience
Knowledge of accounting standards and consolidation principals (debits and credits),
BCOM degree or similar is recommended
3 to 5 years’ experience in an HFM administrative role.
Visual Basic for Applications and VBScript Hyperion Financial Management (Oracle accreditation is advantages)
Advanced Excel knowledge; and ITIL (V3 or newer)
Microsoft server and infrastructure experience important
Advantages skills but not an absolute requirement

Oracle accreditation in:
Hyperion Financial Management
Hyperion Financial Data Quality Management Enterprise Edition (FDMee)
Hyperion Planning and Essbase
Project management experience
Enterprise IT architecture, TOGAF and hybrid-cloud exposure and experience
